We only supply seasoned split logs which are naturally dried with the moisture content below 25%. Green or unseasoned logs contain around 60% moisture content. We supply our hardwood that has been dried in crates for up to 12 months and the softwood minimum 6 months.
Burning logs that do not go through the proper drying process can result in sooty and tar like deposits. These deposits are corrosive & can damage stove flue liners and these deposits are the main cause of chimney fires !!!
firewood Logs should be stored in a log store which offers ventilation and rain cover. They can also be stored in any outbuilding with ventilation to prevent them going mouldy.
Eco fuels need to be stored in doors as they contain very little moisture & they need to be kept completely dry.
Delivery times are arranged to suit you the customer !
We deliver with our 3.5 tonne lorry which is fitted with a rear mounted tail lift which delivers bulk bag orders and palleted goods, loose loads are also carried on our vehicle but it is not designed to tip so we unload them off the vehicle by hand into your desired log storage area.
Firewood processing, all of our logs are cut & naturally air dried in wooden
crates in the barn, they are cut at 8" lengths for nets and bulk bags,
we also hold in stock 25 tonnes of clean dry cord that we can cut to your
desired length from 8" to 18", you can also hire us to cut your firewood
